House Concerts At Heathcote

You may have heard of a phenomenon in acoustic music called House Concerts. Essentially these are concerts of live music, held in the comfort of someone's home.  They provide the opportunity to enjoy music in an intimate, relaxed setting.  Many people consider house concerts to be their favorite way to hear their favorite performers.

Heathcote community is proud to present our House Concert series for 2008. We've been doing it for several years now, and currently we're doing two or three shows per year. We hope that you enjoy the shows as much as we are enjoying putting them together.

Please call or email in advance for an invitation and directions.

Our next concert will be
Courtney Fairchild and The Stone Hand Tortillas
on September 13, 2008

Courtney Fairchild’s voice carries tales of everyday people caught in an age of uncertainty.

"With smoky vocals reminiscent of Tracy Chapman and Everything But the Girl's Tracy Thorn, Courtney holds court on stage with a presence far beyond her 20 years." – Digital City Los Angeles

Steeled by a transcontinental move and matured by changes small and large, Courtney is getting to her great work – performing and writing songs that reach into you, singing in the sweet voice of an ageless torch singer.

Courtney Fairchild along with her band, The Stone Hand Tortillas wowed the near-capacity crowd at World Café Live in her adopted hometown of Philadelphia at a September release party for her fourth record, Quit. Recently relocated from Dallas, this marked Fairchild’s debut in the City of Brotherly Love.

Courtney will appear with her drummer and bass player for an acoustic set (her drummer plays a cajon and her bass player plays and acoustic bass).
