Permaculture Design Course Presentations, June 19, 10 am – 3 pm

Come see our Permaculture design course students present their Permaculture site designs!  The presentation will include an introduction to Permaculture followed by examples of how Permaculture can be applied at several different sites.  If you are curious about Permaculture or are considering taking the design course, this is a great opportunity to learn more.  Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share for lunch.  This is a free event.  Please RSVP by calling 410-357-9523 or emailing education@heathcote.org.   The event will be at Heathcote Community, Freeland, MD.  Directions are posted online at:  http://www.heathcote.org/cms/content/directions-heathcote .

From Bob -- An Invitation

I am inviting anyone interested to join me in my meditation and self-awareness practice.

We will be meeting on a weekly basis and also doing occasional short retreats and longer retreats on a yearly basis.  Participants will be asked to adhere to a daily meditation practice, to make efforts in the practice of self-awareness, and to attend meetings regularly, bringing a positive mental attitude and a willingness to be open and to share from their personal experience.

We will be using various practices that I have found to be effective.  Among these are the practice of self-awareness, self-observation, dialogue, meditation, etc.

I have been on a path of personal growth for close to fourty years and I have a wish to share what I have learned.  I have been involved in Buddhist meditation, Sufi practice, The Gurdjieff Work, and other practices.

This group will be open to beginners and seasoned meditators alike.  I will ask that you give up, for the time being, any other practice you might be doing now.  I have found this work to be some of the most difficult I have ever attempted.  It demands persistence, courage and integrity, but the benefits can be well worth the effort.
