Learn how to meet more of your basic needs for food, water, and energy, locally, by acquiring an in-depth understanding of your property. You can tap your local natural resources (sun, wind, water, soil, flora and fauna) to create site-specific design for a more self-reliant human habitat.

Redesign your life-style to grow your own food organically, harvest rain water while recharging the water table, retrofit your home for passive heating and cooling, and recycle wastes as fertilizer.  In so doing, you reduce fossil fuel consumption, help repair the health of all life forms, and improve local economies.

Instructor:  Patricia Ceglia is a professional architectural designer, ecological site planner, and life-long organic gardener.  She consults for private clients, and the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, and teaches the Permaculture Design Certificate course at Heathcote Education Program, Cromwell Valley Park, Towson, MD.  More information: www.
