Heathcote Visitor Days by Mick Vogt

I post these blogs are a way to reach out. They are an acknowledgement that we who live here need you who do not; acknowledgement that those who come to us bring us a mirror that helps us understand our place in the world as individuals and as a community.

Without you we would be less vital as a group, we would become more inward, perhaps lose touch.

We have our joys here and we have our sorrows. Each of us brings light and shadow to all that we touch. Together we have the faith that we are more than the sum of our parts, and that something wonderful is always within our grasp.

You do not have to live here to be part of what we do, what we are, and what we hope to become. Spending time with us is the best way to figure out how that can happen.

There is a little magic afoot in our little valley. A place that is so close to the hustle and bustle, and yet seems to exist outside of it.

Our next visitor day is June 9th. You can count on good conversation, good food, and of time well spent in learning about one another. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and footwear that is moisture resistant- a tour is always part of the deal and you may become intrigued with some of what is going on here.
