Fall Family Weekend at Heathcote


Come to Heathcote for a delightful family weekend in nature. Families will be invited to participate in a variety of active and reflective activities designed to renew, replenish and deepen connections with nature on Heathcote’s beautiful, historic property. While the program will be based on the interests of the group, some possible activities include an introduction to the work of natural materials artist Andy Goldsworthy and time to design nature-based family art projects; a stream ecology program; and hikes through Heathcote’s wooded stream valley.

The facilitator for this program will be Kathy Lamborn, a teacher at an independent day school in Delaware, an avid wilderness and cultural traveler, and a PhD student in Sustainability Education at Prescott College, Prescott, Arizona.

The Details:
Date: October 23 & 24
Time: 9:00 am Saturday until 11:00 am on Sunday with an optional Sunday lunch

Cost per adult for the weekend is $35.00. Cost per child is $25.00
This price includes the program, a bunk in the dormitory, dinner on Saturday night, and breakfast on Sunday morning.  Join the friendly Heathcote community members for lunch on Saturday by bringing a potluck dish to share.
