Directions to Heathcote from the north (NY or Philadelphia):

Take the NJ Turnpike south to exit 6 (the PA Turnpike exit). Take the PA Turnpike West to exit 286 (in the Philadelphia area the Turnpike is route 276, but then it becomes route 76 later -- MapQuest says you'll be on it for 72 miles). At exit 286 follow signs for Route 222 South. After awhile (15 miles according to MapQuest, but it seems like more to me) you'll take Route 30 West. Stay on Route 30 to York (MapQuest says 25 miles) where you'll get on Route 83 South. You'll be on 83 for about 20 miles, and you'll take the exit that is right on the Maryland line. It's exit 37, but the exit before it is PA exit 4 (just so you can get ready). When you come off the exit ramp you'll come up to a traffic light. Go straight through the light (you'll be on Freeland road). After about 3/4 mile you'll take a left onto Heathcote Rd. (Note: don't be confused by the fact that the RIGHT onto Heathcote road is a few yards before the LEFT onto Heathcote road -- you want the LEFT turn).  Go .4 miles and we're at the end of the dead end road - you'll see an old mill on the right and a green barn with a smiley face on the left.

From the East (Delaware or South Philly):

Take I-95 South towards Baltimore. Take exit 77B, which is MD-24 North (there are a couple of turns you'll need to make to stay on 24, but keep following it). Turn left onto MD-23 (again, there are a couple of turns, but keep following route 23). Turn left onto Old York Rd./MD-439 (this is the one to be careful on -- there are two roads named Old York Rd, and you want the second one. It has a sign saying 439 and another saying “To I-83”). Follow 439 to where it ends at route 45 (York Rd.). Make a right onto York Rd. and go about a mile through the town of Maryland Line. You'll come to a traffic light at Freeland Rd, where you'll make a left turn. Go about 3/4 mile on Freeland Rd. and make the first left onto Heathcote Rd.

From the South (Baltimore):

Take route 83 north from the Baltimore beltway. Get off at exit 36 (it should take about 1/2 hour from the beltway). Make a right at the end of the exit ramp onto route 439. Go about 200 yards until 439 ends at route 45 (York Rd.). Make a right onto York Rd. and go about a mile through the town of Maryland Line. You'll come to a traffic light at Freeland Rd, where you'll make a left turn. Go about 3/4 mile on Freeland Rd. and make the first left onto Heathcote Rd.
