What's DanceFree? It's freestyle dancing that's smoke-free, alcohol-free, and shoes-free! In the past, many freestyle dances were started by folks who wanted a safe, low-cost, fun place to dance without smoke, alcohol, or street shoes.  Many of these were connected to Dance New England, an umbrella non-profit run by volunteers for over twenty years and with member dances from Maine to DC. Heathcote has gotten pretty irregular in our DanceFree schedule lately, so if you've been craving an opportunity to get out on the dance floor, this is your chance!  A couple of years ago we started co-sponsoring DanceFree with the Inspiration Community (www.InspirationCommunity.org), which is a  consciousness school and spiritual community in Owings Mills.  Many of us at Heathcote have taken classes there over the years and have formed good connections.  So when the weather is warm it's nice to have DanceFree there at the Inspiration pavilion (a large, beautiful 3-sided building that lets the dancing overflow onto the lawn).
