As many of you know, Heathcote Community has a history that goes back over 40 years to when the School of Living purchased the old mill in 1965. The people of Heathcote have changed over the years, and those of us who live here now owe much to those who have come before us. Some of the early Heathcoters are organizing a reunion, and are trying to find their old friends. If you know of anyone who was involved with Heathcote in the early days, please pass this letter along to them.
Dear Friends of Heathcote, The Heathcote
Historical Society is planning a forty year celebration of Intentional Community to be held the first week of July, 2009 at the Penn Grove
Retreat, The retreat is reserved from Thursday, July 2,
2009 through Sunday, July 5, 2009. The
camp has 14 air conditioned cabins that sleep eight on bunk beds. The central bathhouse and a crystal clear
swimming pool are new. Air conditioned
and open air meeting facilities abound.
There are spaces for camping and RV parking. Kitchen facilities are available. Other recreational facilities, restaurants,
motels, and At this time we need to locate members of the Heathcote communities that have existed over the years. We are interested in people who were involved
